Marissa Kocaman works in marketing, with a focus on digital marketing and customer experience. Born and raised in Minnesota, she attended Bates College in Lewiston, Maine, where she earned her undergraduate degree in political science with a minor in music performance.
Her experience working at international development nonprofits prior to her marketing career fostered her interest in building positive international relations and creating sustainable opportunities for women and children. After joining the Rotary Club of Minneapolis, Marissa has focused her energy on local Rotary projects to help close the educational opportunity gap for children and on partnerships with organizations that support Minnesota’s victims of human trafficking.
She lives in Maplewood with her husband, daughter, and cat. One of her hobbies is learning new languages. She speaks Spanish, Turkish, and a little Mandarin. In her free time, she enjoys relaxing at the family cabin and cross country skiing. She completed her first American Birkebeiner ski race this past winter.
