Mark Parrish played 11 seasons in the NHL netting over 700 games and over 200 goals. His hockey career began at Bloomington Jefferson High School, winning back to back high school State titles in 1993 and 1994.
His career continued to St. Cloud State University where he played for 2 years before he left for the NHL.
In 2002, Mark was selected for the NHL All Star game and in 2006 he proudly donned his country’s colors in the Winter Olympics held in Turin, Italy.
In retirement, he enjoys being the color analyst for his alma mater, St. Cloud State’s Men’s Hockey team alongside Fox 9’s Jim Rich. He is also a guest host twice a week on KFAN’S Power Trip morning show. If you tune in to the Minnesota State High School State Hockey Tournament each year, you ‘ll get to listen to Mark break down the games and excitement. Mark has further expanded his broadcasting career into the podcast world. Check out the Parrish Fletcher podcast where he, alongside City 97’s Paul Fletcher talk hockey, music, and everything in between. Mark is also the Head Coach of the Orono Boys’ Varsity High School hockey team.
Outside of broadcasting, Mark is an avid hunter and golfer and loves spending time with his wife and two kids. He is excited to trade in his hockey skates for some dancin’ shoes- and especially hopes to not embarrass his daughter who dances too!
Mark is proud to represent the Birdies 4 Brains charity, which supports organizations that help people and families recover from traumatic brain injuries brought on by sports, accidents or a naturally occurring condition.
